In this virtual Lunch & Learn\, advertising veteran Mark S. Robinson will explore three powerful forces behind consumer behavior: \n\n\n\n\nThe psychological power of agreement\n\n\n\nThe psychological power of pretty\n\n\n\nThe psychological power of knowledge\n\n\n\n\nMark will break down why these influences work so effectively in consumer marketing and\, more importantly\, how you can apply these insights to your own creative work\, marketing strategy and business success. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nBio \n\n\n\nMark has spent the past 45 years in advertising at some of the industry’s most prestigious agencies and has been featured in Fortune magazine\, Black Enterprise\, The New York Times\, The Wall Street Journal and Advertising Age. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMark is a past member of the American Advertising Federation’s Multicultural Marketing Leadership Council\, a national touring lecturer for the Advertising Educational Foundation\, and an ongoing mentor for the American Association of Advertising Agencies. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMark was chosen by filmmaker Spike Lee to co-found and manage his ad agency\, Spike/DDB. In 1998\, Mark launched Heritage Apparel\, an internet-based clothing company that celebrated African American history and heroes. In 2001\, he was recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year for the successful launch of his next company\, S/R Communications Alliance\, the first 100% minority-owned network of 10 multicultural advertising companies\, with combined business of $225 million. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMark’s new book (his third)\, “Pitch Black\,” is a compelling and insightful history of Black advertising that features a beautiful presentation of the best Black ads of the past 50+ years. “Pitch Black” chronicles a pivotal chapter in America’s Civil Rights movement and is destined to challenge what you think you know about American business\, fashion and culture. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMark Robinson is the recipient of the 2023 Paragon Award from the 4A’s Society of Excellence and the 1970s Diamond of the Decade Award from the 4A’s Foundation. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMark lives in Connecticut and is a highly sought-after strategist and advisor to various clients\, including political campaigns and community organizations. He also serves on the board of directors of The Connecticut Mirror newspaper. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhether you’re in advertising\, marketing\, public relations\, design or simply interested in what makes people tick\, this is one Lunch & Learn you won’t want to miss. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required below. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Free Event 2025\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n CompanyTicket/RSVP(Required)Ad 2 Member – FREEAAF Member – FREEStudent – FREENon-Member – FREETotal\n \n \n Submit
